I'm Having a Flashback

Mom...Dad...today I was getting the trash from beneath the kitchen sink and considering Eryn's request to remove the safety latch so she can use the waste bin like a big girl. I had a flashback...did I spend an unreasonable amount of time in an empty kitchen cabinet when I was younger...maybe in Klamath Falls? I have an inkling it might have even been slightly outfitted for my use. Is this what it means to get old - you start remembering all the details you probably forgot on purpose?

Um...i don't think it's a sign of getting old. I think it's a sign that all your suppressed memories are popping up on you. Did you stop taking your meds lately?

That was actually "The cupboard under the stairs" on Privet Drive.

You were right! It was in Klamath Falls, Or. You use to take the pots and pans out of the cabinet and replaced them with your toys, and sit in the cabinet to play. Finaly gave up and moved the pots and pans and let you have the cabinet as your own. I looked through one box of pictures but, have not found a picture of you or your brother in this cabinet yet.

I am pleased to meet somebody who could fit into a cupboard with or without the pots and pans and can still remember the words to Shortnin' Bread! Too bad you can't still fit -- think of all the money you could save on rent.
