You were right! It was in Klamath Falls, Or. You use to take the pots and pans out of the cabinet and replaced them with your toys, and sit in the cabinet to play. Finaly gave up and moved the pots and pans and let you have the cabinet as your own. I looked through one box of pictures but, have not found a picture of you or your brother in this cabinet yet. - Dad
Mom assured me it was right next to the door so there was no possibility I'd get trapped in a cupboard while the house burned down.
Strangely, after my cube move at work, I will once again be in what amounts to a cupboard as the new cube is a mere 60% the size of my old cube, with decreased access to emergency exits. Maybe that's actually what was triggering the flashback.

The original Harry Potter!
So those baggies of brownish powder in our closet are flue powder?
Given our current administration, that's actually probably enough to get your home searched if you're not a conservative radio talk show host.
You two are pretty cavalier about me being raised in a cupboard.
Oddly enough, I remember hanging out frequently in the pantry cupboard and in the under-counter cabinets at my parents' house. Lots of space (at the time), minimal amenities, but much more interesting than a box or cushion fort could ever be. Way cool for a wee tyke...
I think the key factor is that of setting up residence in cupboards of your own choice. I'd have to say that, at the time, it was the infant/toddler version of a trendy loft apartment located in downtown.
Face it, we were just trend forward when it came to living accomodations :)
